The label LPJ Studios does not only stand for unique design, but also for the cycle of things. After all, sustainability is not a trend, but a philosophy to live by. Therefore, the LPJ manufactory based in Aschau im Chiemgau collects valuable textile remnants which are thrown away unused season after season and design them into extraordinary unique pieces to meet the highest standards of aesthetics, quality and craftsmanship.
The root of the label is Hedwig Bouley who brought LPJ into being in 2015. LPJ is an acronym from the names of her three children – Lisa, Paul and Joseph. The renowned fashion designer has been working for reputable names in the industry for many years. With her own label she is taking a major step towards a new, more sustainable direction of the textile industry. Proving that it is possible to assume ecological responsibility and value resources at a high design standard. With great sensitivity the chosen fabrics and yarns are weaved into big and small carpets which reinterpret old traditions. A special passion flows into the extraordinary plaids made out from recycled cashmere or with felted transitions causing warming and sustainable entanglements. Combined with handmade cushions,monster-like seating or a tapestry that turns your favorite sweater into a work of art. And many more.

Furthermore, LPJ Finearts, the non-commercial line, develops High Upcycling Fashion with great artistic potential in collaboration with international fashion schools. Some well-known cooperation partners are ESMOD, AMD, fashion college of Sigmaringen, JAK Hamburg and HTW Berlin. In this way LPJ Finearts does not only support creative young talent, but also initiates a design network connecting students and experts. Many renowned fashion companies are already supplying LPJ’s creations with high-quality textile leftovers. The entire production chain is fair and regional and consciously sets a contrast to the mass production in the fashion industry. From scratch through production to delivery, the process is professional and comes naturally to mind - manufacturing in the own regional workshops and cooperating businesses.
